The Hyundai Mobis automotive parts production facility, developed for Hyundai AMCO İnşaat Turizm Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. in the Alikahya district of İzmit, was completed by DEA YAPI on a turnkey basis within a tight nine-month schedule, covering a total of 14,350 m² of indoor construction area on a 33,387 m² site. The project was designed as a modern factory building with reinforced concrete foundations and a steel load-bearing system, engineered to meet all the technical standards required by automotive supplier production.
Within the project scope, ground improvement, reinforced concrete foundations, steel frame load-bearing structure, space frame roof construction, sandwich panel roof and facade cladding, and fit-out works were carried out sequentially under rigorous engineering planning. The heavy machinery loads, vibration tolerances, and flexible production flow required by automotive parts manufacturing played a decisive role in the selection of ground improvement and steel load-bearing solutions. Sandwich panel facade and roof cladding were applied in accordance with international standards for insulation performance, while electrical and mechanical installation works were completed to support process integration.
Alikahya, İzmit is one of the most densely concentrated districts of Turkey’s automotive supplier industry. Its proximity to the facilities of OEM manufacturers such as Hyundai-Assan provides a critical location advantage in terms of supply chain efficiency for supplier factories like Mobis.
DEA YAPI has applied the technical experience and discipline it has gained through multiple collaborations with the Hyundai group to this project with on-time delivery, quality assurance, and engineering accuracy.
