The walnut production and processing facility developed for Avrupa Elektronik ve Tarımsal Ürünler San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. in Uzunköprü, Edirne, was completed by DEA YAPI on a turnkey basis, covering approximately 12,000 m² of indoor area on a 140,000 m² site. The project was planned as a multi-component agricultural production campus consisting of the production building, fertilization facility, maintenance unit, vehicle canopy, administrative building, guesthouse, staff lodging, lagoon, and security building.
Throughout the construction process, every phase — from geotechnical surveys to final acceptance — was executed end-to-end. The hygiene, ventilation, and storage standards required for agricultural production facilities were addressed in every detail of the production building, while the fertilization and maintenance units were positioned in accordance with the process flow. The staff lodging and guesthouse buildings were designed with employee comfort in mind, and the lagoon system was commissioned in full compliance with environmental regulations governing waste management. Infrastructure works covering drainage, stormwater discharge, potable water, wastewater treatment, and fire protection systems were completed in line with international standards.
The Uzunköprü region of Edirne is located on the fertile agricultural lands of Thrace and offers strategic advantages for export to European markets. The region’s climate, well-suited to walnut cultivation, combined with its logistics infrastructure, positions the facility ideally for export-oriented agricultural production.
Since 1988, DEA YAPI has applied its industrial building construction experience to this multi-component agricultural project, delivering a holistic turnkey approach spanning infrastructure to superstructure.
