The PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) stock yard development and site concrete project carried out within the İzmit facilities of Hyundai-Assan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. was completed by DEA YAPI on a turnkey basis, covering a total area of 23,900 m². The project was designed as a strategic logistics area serving the inspection and storage processes of newly manufactured vehicles prior to customer delivery.
PDI stock yards require specialized engineering solutions to allow thousands of vehicles to be parked simultaneously and to ensure uninterrupted operational flow. Accordingly, the site development works — including geotechnical surveys, excavation and fill, drainage, and infrastructure — were carried out under strict engineering discipline, with surface slopes meticulously engineered for controlled stormwater discharge and all-weather usability. For the site concrete application, thick reinforced concrete layers resistant to heavy vehicle loads and intensive usage stresses were formed, while surface finishing, joint details, and road marking were completed in line with international automotive industry standards.
İzmit is the hub of Turkey’s automotive sector and a strategic industrial corridor where global manufacturers such as Hyundai-Assan carry out their Turkish production operations. Its proximity to the TEM highway and to the Derince and Gebze ports provides the facilities with a competitive advantage in terms of export logistics.
DEA YAPI has applied the experience it has gained through multiple project collaborations with Hyundai-Assan to this site development project with technical discipline, on-time delivery, and quality assurance.
