The new office and factory building project developed for OBO Bettermann Türkiye at the İMES Organized Industrial Zone in İzmit-Dilovası was completed by DEA YAPI on a 17,000 m² construction site with 6,538 m² of covered area on a turnkey basis in 2013. The project was planned as an integrated industrial building combining office and warehouse functions within a single campus.
A precast reinforced concrete load-bearing system was selected during construction — offering both rapid installation time and an ideal engineering solution for wide-span warehouse volumes. Sandwich panels were used for roof and façade cladding, creating an efficient building envelope in terms of thermal and acoustic insulation. Electrical and mechanical installation works were executed end-to-end, ensuring full functional delivery of the building. Modern workspaces were implemented in the office section, while flooring systems ready for racking infrastructure compliant with international logistics standards were applied in the warehouse section.
The İMES Organized Industrial Zone is located on one of Türkiye’s most strategic logistics corridors, along the Istanbul-Ankara highway axis and close to the ports of Gebze and Kocaeli. Concentrated in the machinery and electrical-electronics sectors, this zone serves as an ideal hub for export production to European and Middle Eastern markets. The choice of this location by an international brand like OBO Bettermann reinforces the facility’s strategic value.
