The CKD (Completely Knocked Down) building extension and office construction project carried out within the Alikahya facilities of Hyundai-Assan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. was completed by DEA YAPI on a turnkey basis, covering a total construction area of 7,000 m². The project scope included the delivery of an approximately 4,500 m² spare parts warehouse extension, a 2,000 m² canopy, and a 500 m² office building, complete with electrical and mechanical installations.
The operational flexibility and inventory management discipline required by automotive spare parts logistics played a central role in the building’s design approach. A 250-ton steel load-bearing structure featuring steel columns and tubular purlins provided operational flexibility for wide-span storage areas, while 6,000 m² of roof and facade cladding was applied in accordance with thermal and mechanical performance standards. Infrastructure works covering drainage, stormwater management, fire protection, and MEP systems were completed in line with international standards. The canopy structure was positioned to support vehicle and parts circulation, while the office building was designed as a management unit integrated with storage operations.
Alikahya is one of the districts of Kocaeli where the automotive industry is densely concentrated. The corridor where Hyundai-Assan’s facilities are located stands as a strategic production hub for export and domestic distribution, thanks to its proximity to the TEM highway and Derince port.
DEA YAPI has applied the technical depth it has gained through multiple industrial building projects for Hyundai-Assan to this extension project with the same delivery discipline and quality assurance.
