The Starch Production Facility project developed for Modern Karton Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. in Ergene, Tekirdağ, was delivered by DEA YAPI in 2021. Within the scope of the project, the reinforced concrete and infrastructure works of the facility were completed in full compliance with the engineering standards required by industrial production processes.
Starch production demands an integrated production flow in which raw material preparation, dry and wet processing lines, and storage areas operate in coordination. Accordingly, the facility’s reinforced concrete structure was engineered with careful consideration of high load-bearing capacity, chemical resistance, and hygiene-focused surface solutions. Infrastructure works covered process wastewater channels and shaft systems, stormwater drainage, fire safety lines, and electromechanical utility connections — all executed in accordance with the project specifications. Foundation design aligned with geotechnical survey findings was implemented to support the precise alignment of production equipment.
Ergene stands out as one of Tekirdağ’s prominent districts supported by a well-developed organized industrial infrastructure. Its connection to the Istanbul-Edirne highway and the Çerkezköy/Çorlu industrial axis provides significant advantages for production logistics, offering a favorable foundation for export-oriented facilities targeting European markets.
