The Press Shop (Building I) Extension Project developed for Oyak Renault within the Bursa Automobile Factory was completed by DEA YAPI on a turnkey basis in 2010. A steel structure roof was fabricated over reinforced concrete foundations and a precast load-bearing system, with sandwich panel roof and façade cladding delivered alongside architectural, mechanical, and electrical works as an integrated scope.
The scope included 600 m² of roof covering, 1,200 m² of façade cladding, and 600 m² of epoxy floor coating. The load-bearing system was completed with 40 tons of steel structure fabrication and painting. The heavy equipment housed in press buildings demands specialized vibration-isolated foundation design, heavy-duty flooring systems, and industrial floor solutions such as epoxy coatings. Ensuring that the mechanical loads generated during press operation cycles are properly transferred to the structural system was a primary engineering priority.
In the automotive OEM industry, press shops are critical production units where chassis and body components are formed. Expanding these facilities translates directly into increased production capacity and lays the infrastructure for new model investments. Oyak Renault’s Bursa Factory holds a significant position in the Renault Group’s global production network.
